Our Ameno Life = Life on Pleasant Hill

I have decided to change the name of our blog from Our Ameno Life to Life on Pleasant Hill. Same blog, same content, just a new name.

Our last name means pleasant in Italian. A year and a half ago we bought a modest home perched on a small hill in the country. It needs some work. That's okay because it's where God wants us to be. We know that.  

Our little acreage of property is dotted with an assortment of raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries, currants, apples and grapes. We grow a variety of our own vegetables and herbs. We long to have chickens roaming around and fresh eggs in the morning...maybe next Spring. We compost. We try our best to live sustainability...to respect the land God has provided us.  

We tromp around in the woods, splash in Buffalo Creek, observe creatures and critters, inspect plant life, and relax under large, beautiful shade trees. Cardinals, deer, squirrels and other feathered and furry friends call this land their home. We respect God's Creation. We cherish it. We use it as our classroom. And, we thank Him everyday for His bountiful blessings in our life.  

Our little hill and our life would best be described as 'ameno'.
