Emery Park
We went hiking at Emery Park on Friday afternoon. Emery Park is an Erie County Park in the town of South Wales, just outside the village of East Aurora. The park is gigantic and parts are bordered by Cazenovia Creek. There are many hiking trails, but most are shared with the park's disc golf course, so be sure to keep an eye out for incoming frisbees!

Bake me a cake as fast as you can...
One of I's friend's birthday is tomorrow, so tonight we baked a cake for her. "I" helped me stir the batter. We made a small square cake and half-dozen cupcakes. We topped them with pink frosting and sprinkles. Yummy!
I realize he is sitting on the kitchen counter. Don't worry though, I was right next to him during this entire process.
Chestnut Ridge Park
We visited Chestnut Ridge Park one evening last week so we could take in the spectacular view of the city of Buffalo. For those of you that don't know, Chestnut Ridge Park is an Erie County Park located in the town of Orchard Park.
Drum roll please...
Drum roll please... Here it is, folks! T's long-awaited RIDING lawn mower! He was pretty much in his glory all evening on Tuesday after this baby was delivered. Happy Mowing, Ter!!
Future Equestrian?
Do we have ourselves a future Equestrian? Following in mommy's footsteps perhaps?? In a few years, I will definitely have another horse... because I can't imagine not sharing the experience with my kids!
Tenting anyone?
It was a dreary day on Tuesday, so I built a "tent" in our living room out of a large blanket, the couch, and some kitchen chairs. It brought back a lot of my childhood memories! My brother & I used to build these in our living room and our bedrooms all the time. "I" thought it was pretty neat too!

Elma Meadows Park
We visited Elma Meadows Park a few nights ago. It's an Erie County Park only a couple of miles from our house. It's a smaller park but has several pavilions, picnic tables, grills, and a couple of playgrounds. "I" especially liked this purple dinosaur at the playground... and, as you can see, "T" did too!

We love hosting play dates at our house! "I" had a blast in his sandbox and pool with his friends at the play date we hosted last week!
