We also visited a place called Rimrock Overlook when we were in the Allegheny National Forest. Rimrock Overlook is a picnic area, which has dozens of picnic tables and public restrooms, and an incredible view of Allegheny Reservoir.
The really neat thing about Rimrock Overlook is the short trail that decends just beneath the overlook itself. After climbing down a steep, narrow stone stairway and passing through a mountain tunnel, you end up at the base of rimrock overlook and can explore the monsterous cliffs, boulders, rock formations and cold-air vents. It was really cool; a lot like Rock City in Olean.
