Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.

Create in me a pure heart, O God!

Sunday, December 5th was the 5th night of the Feast of Dedication:

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has given to us holidays, customs and seasons for gladness and for the glory of
Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord,
the light of the world.

On the 4th night of the Feast of Dedication we remembered that we are God's Temple, and that His spirit lives within our own bodies. The New Testament also tells us that we should honor our bodies: God's Temple (1 Corinthians 6:20).

We know that we are all sinners and even though we try to keep our Temple's clean, they do get "dirty"... especially as Americans. We end up being so busy that we don't have "time" for God. And, I'm sure most of us are guilty of the Tenth Commandment, especially during the holiday season.

Therefore, we need to remember Psalm 51:10-12: "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."

What a great verse! Isn't that all we really need in this life anyway? God's Salvation, and the joy that comes from knowing God gave us a miracle - His son, our Savior, who died for our sins and gives us eternal life!
