Yesterday we made a St. Patty's Day craft: Shamrocks with Sparkly Hand Prints.
Okay, so the sparkles really should've been gold but I didn't have any gold glitter left....
Every year, T's mom prepares a Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner. My parents also join us at T's parents house to celebrate St. Patrick's Day - even though none of us have Irish heritage in our families.
But... it's rumored that St. Patrick's was born in Britain (possibly Scotland) to Roman Italian parents (ie: Italian heritage). T's father's side of the family is Italian. And, my paternal grandmother's side of the family is Scottish... so, that's close enough, right? ;)
Regardless, getting together for Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner every year is a fun way for all of us to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and eat some really great food!
So, "I" will be giving these Hand Print Shamrocks to his Gramma & Nana this Saturday evening when we gather for our St. Patty's Day dinner:
Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!
Blessings of St. Patrick's Day upon ye!
